What does Competitor Snapshot include for free?
Competitor count in your chosen radius, a Low / Medium / High density label, a crowding read (Quiet strip / Competitive / Crowded), up to five nearby names with distance and tier, a simple format mix, one opportunity hint, and a lightweight map. It does not include full competitor cards, ratings themes or revenue pressure.
Is this the same as the Locatalyze report competitor map?
No. The free tool is a competition teaser for acquisition. The full report adds overlap scoring, walk-minute enrichment, parking and anchors, and ties competition into an address-level PROCEED / VERIFY / AVOID recommendation.
How fresh is the data?
Nearby listings are cached for about 24 hours for the same rounded coordinates, category and radius. The tool shows when a response was served from cache.
What if the count looks too low?
Coverage can be thin for some categories or suburbs. Treat a low count as directional, walk the street, and run a free address analysis for deeper competitor intelligence.
